District 8 is a vibrant, diverse community and our priority is simple: improving the quality of life for every resident who calls it home. From keeping families safely housed to expanding economic opportunity, protecting our water future, and investing in the neighborhoods we love, we are delivering real, measurable results.

Housing

We are tackling the housing crisis head-on by partnering with Maricopa County to allot $800,000 for eviction assistance, providing free legal representation for tenants, and securing 5,427 new housing units. Through programs like Rapid Rehousing and Master Leasing, we are keeping families in their homes and transitioning residents into stable, supportive housing.

Affordability

We established a $15 million Housing Trust Fund to support the development of affordable housing and homeownership opportunities for Phoenix families. By expanding housing options and protecting tenants from unfair eviction judgments, we are making it easier for residents to stay in the neighborhoods they love.

Economic Development

We have added 3,578 new jobs to our local economy, strengthening District 8 and creating new opportunities for residents.

Water Security

We are committed to protecting Phoenix's water future through responsible planning and sustainable policies. Ensuring long-term water security is essential to supporting our growing city, our economy, and the quality of life for every resident.
